Turns — Flipping Their Argument
A turn proves their argument actually helps YOUR side. Devastating when it lands.
Link turn
They said the bill causes X. You prove it actually causes the OPPOSITE of X.
Impact turn
They said X is bad. You prove X is actually GOOD.
Pick one — never both
Doing both at the same time is called a 'double-turn' and the judge will collapse you.
Worked example
They argue: 'Cutting taxes will reduce government revenue and hurt schools.'
Link turn: 'Actually, the Laffer curve shows lower rates can INCREASE revenue.' OR Impact turn: 'Even if revenue drops, school funding is better at the state level anyway.' Pick ONE.
